FCSM therapists offer individual, couple, and family counseling services to persons experiencing stress and life transitions. Among issues addressed in treatment are:

PSYCHOLOGICAL CONCERNS
  -  Self-esteem.
  -  Values clarification.
  -  Management of anxiety, anger, and stress.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES
Substance abuse services are offered for individuals and families affected by chemical dependency. Because chemical dependency is a complex phenomenon which affects entire families, recovery works best when whole families are involved.

Services include:

  -  Assessment of chemical dependency and its effects on persons afflicted, family members, and others.
  -  Community education.
  -  Information about chemical dependency, co-dependency, and recovery.
  -  Intervention to address the problems caused by chemical dependency.
  -  Referral to ancillary services.

RELATIONSHIP ISSUES
  -  Parent-child conflict.
  -  Conflict resolution.
  -  Separation and divorce.
  -  Stepfamily adjustment.

ADJUSTMENT PROBLEMS
  -  Role changes at home or work.
  -  Loss/grief.
  -  Personal decision making.

MARITAL ENRICHMENT
  -  Transgenerational family issues.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS (EAP)
FCSM is available for direct or subcontracts with area employers. Employers are aware of the value of EAP services as a benefit to employees.
